In this bar, David (1843) wrote "saltato" under the first beat, along with staccato dots under the two 32nds and the following 16th. Interestingly, Wilhelmj has transposed David's idea to the third beat of the bar.

For the whole of this arpeggiando passage, Wilhelmj transcribes exactly David's 1843 edition, as regards the realisation, bowing and articulation. However, he changes and supplements David's dynamics; this Piano, the subsequent "poco a poco cresc.", and "sempre cresc." are all Wilhelmj additions.

Another change to David's dynamics. At this point, David begins a crescendo to the end of the passage; Wilhelmj's decrescendo allows for a steeper, more dramatic crescendo three bars late.

Wilhelmj takes over unchanged David's realisation of this arpeggiando passage, but adds dots and dashes to specify the manner of performance.

As in the previous arpeggiando passages, Wilhelmj takes over without alteration David's elaboration of this 8-bar section. He does supplement David's dynamics, however.

This Forte, and the "sempre cresc" in the next bar, are additions to the dynamics in David's edition.
