This fingering avoids a portamento such as we find, for instance, in Singer's edition (see this website) in favour of a clean effect, which nevertheless facilitates the avoidance of the awkward fifth on the following g'-d' (played 4 (harmonic)-1 on the G string). CB

This is an unusual instance in Hermann's edition of a fingering that may be intended to have an expressive rather than purely technical function. CB

This is clearly meant to be played near the point of the bow with a light on-string staccato. Only if played towards the point can the bowing in the first bar of the second stave (beginning V) be executed satisfactorily. CB

Portamento also seems inevitable here and on the next two staves. Perhaps, in view of the portamento that is implied by the subsequent shifts, a portamento from the open A string was envisaged in the first bar (beginning with the 1st finger behind the nut). CB
