This bar has no slurs in the sources. All later editors supplied slurs either in groups of 4 on the beat (e.g. Dont, Dessauer) or across the beat (e.g. David, Vieuxtemps, Joachim), but Baillot seems really to have used separate bows, for the eqivalent passage later in the movement is given in his L'art du violon also without slurs.

This derives from an apparent mistake in the first edition. In the Stichvorlage it is a crotchet rest followed by a triplet.
