Antonio Lolli » Sonata in D major » Alard, Jean Delphin - E. Gérard

No. 36 from Alard's Les maîtres classiques du violon. This sonata uses an extreme scordatura, with the G string tuned down a fifth to D. Alard suggests that a thicker string than normal is used to compensate for a normal string's loss of tension at this pitch.
