Arcangelo Corelli » Violin Sonatas (complete) » Dolmetsch, Arnold - Novello, Ewer and Co.
Despite Dolmetsch's reputation as a reviver of early music, his fingering does not reflect the practice of Corelli's period. It is entirely in the style of Dolmetsch's own time. He uses harmonics and higher positions on lower strings to achieve distinctive tone colour. Many fingerings suggest the use of portamento.
