Robert Schumann » Piano Trio no. 2 in F major » Davidoff, Carl; Lauterbach, Johann - Pohle
All three parts of the Schumann trios were provided with performance markings (Rudolf Niemann fingered the piano part), but Lauterbach's markings in the violin part are much more detailed than Davidoff's in the cello part. The cello part is fully bowed, but contains relatively few fingerings. Lauterbach employs his practice of marking 5 as an indication for using the 4th finger in extension, though there appears to be no explanation of it as in some other Pohle editions.
