Remy's edition changes many of Spohr's fingerings, sometimes avoiding portamento effects, but on other occasions providing the opportunity for different portamentos. He substitutes modern chromatic fingerings in the rapid downwards chromatic scales in the Adagio. He also provided many additional performance markings.
