The plate number 1271 implies that Peters used the original plates for David's edition, changing the title page. The engraving, however, is certaily not that of the first edition of Spohr's op. 39 duos, which was published by Peters c. 1816, at about the same time as the Violin Concerto no. 7 op. 38.
