Augener was purchased by Schott in 1910 although Schott had to relinquish its interest in the firm on the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. Some subsequent editions, however, appeared in both Augener and Schott editions (for instance Emil Sauret's edition of Beethoven's Violin Concerto http://mhm.hud.ac.uk/chase/view/edition/592/).
