You will be asked to give oral presentations as part of your course. These can be formative (for your learning development) or summative (for assessment) but they should all be taken seriously so that time and effort are not wasted. Some people take these presentations in their stride and others find them very difficult. You may be asked to present as part of a group and it’s important that you contribute fully. The fact is that in the future you will probably have to make presentations, even if it is only at a job interview, so the more practice you have the better. When giving a presentation, you need to think about three main areas: Preparation, Organisation and Delivery.
