Tour de Yorkshire begins today

The Tour de Yorkshire starts today in Doncaster.

The men’s race starts at 1 o’clock today and the 182k first stage is set to finish in Selby. Tomorrow, the women join the race at Barnsley.

Some of the world’s top cyclists are set to pass through 150 cities, towns and villages in Yorkshire over the next few days, including four-time Tour de France winner, Chris Froome.

The 2018 Tour de Yorkshire saw more than two million spectators come and watch the race all across the county.

Due to weather conditions, the traditional finish line in Scarborough will be moved 500m earlier, as used in the 2017 race.

Planet Radio will be keeping you up to date with all road closures and race updates on our social media.
