The Army is sent into Fishlake to aid in flood relief

The army has arrived to deal with the severe flooding in Fishlake and South Yorkshire.

The soldiers have begun to lay sandbags around the town of Stainforth as well as passing out suplies for those effected.

Many have accused the prime minsister of responding too slowly to the South Yorkshire floods.

Only yesterday there was a COBRA meeting called by the PM, however there were flood alerts given across South Yorkshire on Thursday.

Sky News showed one resident told Boris Johnson "I'm not very happy about talking to you so, if you don't mind, I'll just mope on with what I'm doing."

Boris Johnson denied that they have reacted late, telling reporters:
"If you look at what's been happening since the flooding began there's been round-the-clock monitoring of the situation both at a local and national emergency."

There are 34 flood warnings still in place across England, although The Met Office has predicted more rainfall this Thursday.

The Prime Minister urged people in affected areas to listen out for flood warnings and further advice from their local councils.
