Birmingham Teen Teaches Free Sign Language Lessons During Lockdown.

15-year-old student Tyrese Dibba has created a series of videos for free teaching British Sign Language (BSL)during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The Birmingham teen, who is deaf and partially sighted, said with more people learning BSL, it would “help the deaf community feel part of the wider society”. BSL is the first language for thousands of people in the country and Richard Kramer, chief executive of the charity Sense, said it is, “helping to tackle loneliness and social isolation amongst disabled people”.

More than 7,000 people have already signed up the free classes of which Tyrese described as an, “amazing” figure.
