Huge heap of uncollected bin bags blocking street
Household waste has been left piled in a street in Huddersfield after bins has been left uncollected.
Residents on Ramsden street in Golcar fear the heap on a shared back lane will attract rats.
The locals reported that the last missed collection day was the third so far this year
A woman said “The bags at the bottom are being torn open. That could be rats or foxes. Nobody wants that.”
The council has done nothing about their complaints
“When I said I was worried about rats, the council person I spoke to on the phone just pooh-poohed me. He said I cannot see that happening.”
The backlane is too narrow for a bin wagon but the residents empty their bins and put the refuse at the end of the street to be picked up by the binmen.
