I think businesses like McDonalds have took an opportunity to make more revenue out of a bad situation, consequences of doing so has cost the smaller businesses and restaurants massively. I do not think the government have took into consideration that franchises such as McDonalds have a bigger safety nets when it comes to the crisis all businesses have had to face either that or they know bigger businesses have bigger tax bills which keeps the governments pockets lined with cash especially for all the hand outs that have been given. Out one hand back into the other id say. The government and businesses as big as MacDonald's took the life jacket smaller businesses needed and simply watched them drown to essentially save themselves although they was in a better financial situation if not the best
