The Impact of Racism on the black minority
There is a tendancy to classify all victims of racism under the label "people of colour" or black asian and minority ethnic people ( shortened to BAME). However, this generalist approach fails to account for the varied ways that racism affects different races. Especially the black minority.
This podcast explores a one fit size approach to discrimination and how Anti-black racism should be classified seperately. As historically black minority have been subjected to greater abuse and racist remarks. In the uk black people are more likely to be stopped and searched or shot. And has the black lives matter movement which was held worldwide brought these stories to light ? it raises the question to has the movement brought a change?
