A conversation with  Huddersifled local activist "Swallow". We sat down to discuss the vital importance of getting your voice heard, protecting the environemnt and what we as citizens can do to  help. In our discussion, Swallow speaks out agaisnt "Syngenta", a local supplier of very harmful chemicals, that have been banned in  the EU. The failure of World governments to make tough decisions at summits such as COP26 do demonstrate the legitimate need for more drastic action when it comes to climate change

I agree with the actions of XR. Despite the controversial nature of their protests, it has got people talking about it!

Whenever there are conversations related to climate change,extinction rebellion are always one of the first things discussed,i believe they have their heart in the right place however i believe there are better ways of going about it than mass disruption via protests,i'm in huge agreement with Swallow about it sometimes disguising the true aims of the cause and protest itself. It did work for the sufragettes and many other groups though so maybe there is some potential in those methods many of us outside of the group don't see as of yet.

Good point! We have also seen the government discuss insulation a lot more after insulate Britain's protests, so I am in agreement that it does work. But, it's like Swallow said, it does give the opportunity for people to "shoot the messenger".
